Galaxy Note 2 Issues with 4.3 Update

    Dear All,

Yesterday i updated my Samsung Note 2 with Android 4.3.
I did no fancy stuff. I was on stock ROM and downloaded the official update provided by Samsung via OTA.
The phone updated without any issues. The new UI and some other new features are nice to have (not as awesome as I expected)
But at the same time two of the most important features are missing. Firstly, multiwindow is no longer available. I can see the multiwindow option in settings. Its disabled and inaccessible. Can't enable it. Secondly, lock screen widgets are not available. Just like the multiwindow, i can see the options in settings but they are disabled and inaccessible.

SURPRISE: The youtube videos, on official 4.3 update for note 2 show these options are available and running.

Can anyone please help me get these options running

    Regards
    Ameya

What carrier are you on? Whar have you tried to resolve the issue?

Usually an fdr will clear out the ota bugs but we all hate to do that so....

    Hello Bkdodger !

I did reboot the phone a couple of times. I do not have a carrier phone. I bought the phone and the SIM separately. I updated via Wi-Fi.

If you are referring to factory reset and not reboot, then I haven't done that. Do you have any suggestions ?

    Regards
    Ameya

Power the phone off. Power it back on holding power, volume up, and and home buttons all at the same time. You will then see the option to clear cache partition. Use volume keys to navigate up and down and power button to select. (I think it's power to select should tell you on the screen.)

Issues with update to Android 4.3

I changed my Home screen mode from 'Easy mode' to 'Standard mode' and the problem of Multi window and lock screen widgets was solved.

I also changed my home screen mode from Easy Mode to Standard mode and the problem of multi window is solved. However why is it now working in easy mode? Any idea?

    Regards
