    Outlook Sync

Hey all, just got my Note 3 Friday. Loving the heck out of it. Anyway, first problem I'm encountering is that I have found I cannot sync Outlook calendars and contacts with the Note. Kinda of a bummer since the ATT store rep swore up and down I could do this. Anyway, after some research online, I see their are several third party apps that do this. Anyone go down this road? Is a 3rd party app recommended? If so, any particular one that stands out for you? I stupidly did not save my contacts before I wiped my iphone because I thought I could transfer them from Outlook

Thanks in advance for any help/advice you might have.

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the forum. I never use Outlook but I don't see any problems with trying a 3rd party app, can't hurt if it available in the playstore.

    See this - http://www.note2forum.com/forum/sear...earchid=343941

There has been considerable discussion on that very problem (you're not the only one, by a long shot) and you may find your answer there.

I don't sync Outlook contacts nor calendars, only email. However I am given the option to sync them if I wanted. Did you set up your account using this?

The Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync Account will allow you to sync Outlook contacts, calendars, and email.

Well you sure were right - I wasn't the only person with this problem and this ain't the only thread about it. So, after many hours of research, I decided to give Gsyncit a try and, well, so far, it's just great. If it stays working and I don't experience any major glitches, then the 20 bucks is well worth the price.

    Appreciate everyone's input.

Next question - where do I go on this forum to enable email notifacations when I get replies to comments?

You bought the right product. I have gsyncit and it works very well, and is professionally supported with lots of updates. This will sync not only your appointments but 'to do' list and notes. I also use google calendar, and email support. Google calendar will automatically sync with the Note on board calendar, but alas .. Not to do's. Google calendar is available thru a google mail account.

I also have a 3rd party product called Toodledo. I like this one. It syncs with google calendar and it's to do list.
That's a rather convoluted answer but I've got it tweaked for everything I do. If you need anything more let me know. I've tried them all.
