Play Store Pops Up A Lot

Is there a way to find out what keeps play store popping up to download a random app? It's getting annoying. I'll unlock my phone and next thing I know play story app is open. Thanks for any help. I'm not rooted.

There is a setting in the "play" store app called "Auto Update Apps" - make sure that is not checked.

Are these apps you already have installed or are they new apps?

You might try going into app manager and clearing the data on the Play Store app. You may have to log in again but that may take care of the problem.

Are random games showing up and do you use Verizon?

Go to settings and in applications turn off DT Ignite. This is a service used by Verizon to automatically install apps. When I first set up my Note 4 two games appeared in my app drawer I never downloaded. Once I uninstalled them, I never saw any additional unwanted apps on my phone. But I went ahead and turned off DT Ignite just in case.

No I'm on AT&T. And kind of like when I open the flap on My case have the s-view case play store pops up with a random app to download. Or open apps it will do it close apps it will do it just random will pop up when I open an app but the next time I open it it won't.

I cleared the cache but still doing it. Was hoping I could download an app that would tell me what's doing it lol.

Sounds like a revenue enhancement service in one of your other apps. They're really popular in free games and ringtone apps.
If you can remember any apps you installed around the time it started happening you might have success by deleting that one. It's called Push Service and my understanding was Google had outlawed it as a source of revenue to developers for its nefarious methods. If you find which one it is, that is if it's an app at the source, if you report it to Google they'll yank it from the Play Store.
