Question What App Are You Using For Texting?

I was a user of Handcent on my N2, but a few months ago, they added ads. To buy a pro version, they made the poor decision to charge a yearly fee rather than a single purchase. For that reason, I don't want to go back with Handcent, even though I loved it.

I just purchased my N4 yesterday, and currently use the native messaging app, but looking for something with full customization.

What are you using as a text app, and why did you select it over others??

    Thanks in advance!

I use Yaata and love it. Full of options. Vulcan1600 informed me a week or so ago Handcent released an update without ads in the inbox.

But I still love and use Yaata

I still use Handcent and got rid of the ads with Xposed, but you need root.

    Thanks for your responses.

After reading that Handcent released an update without ads in the inbox, I went back to them. The new app is called Handcent Next.

Interestingly, they had to reformat their emojis due to a copyright infringement involving Apple. They still have the full menu of them in the app, but they look slightly different after the reformat.
